MEMBERS of the Lions Club in Andover have handed over their first donations from their 'Make a Difference' appeal fund - four wheeled walking frames to enhance the lives of members of the Equal Care and Opportunity (ECO) group in the town.

The walking frames, which were given to ECO at their weekly meeting at Blake House, Artists Way on Monday, will benefit four members of the group suffering from mobility problems.

The Lions Club launched an appeal in November for nominations of local people for whom a little bit of help would make a difference to their lives.

They are aiming to spend £3,000 helping members of the community in Andover and the surrounding villages.

Anyone who has a neighbour, friend or knows someone who might benefit from the fund, should write to the Lions, c/o the Andover Advertiser, 24-32 London Street, Andover, SP10 2PE, marking the letter 'Lions Club Make a Difference Fund'.
