The NatWest Hampshire U16 Indoor Championships are set for a thrilling finale at The Rose Bowl on Sunday.

Basingstoke will take the title if they beat Bourne-mouth, but the third-placed Dorset club need a win to ensure qualification for the county play-offs.

South Wilts, beaten by Basingstoke off the last ball of a nail-biter a fortnight ago, will put pressure on the May's Bounty club if they win their opening match of the evening against Ventnor.

But, led by the talented Jobey Wells, the Islanders are still in play-off contention.

Fair Oak must beat Havant if they are to climb into the county U16 showdown.

The top four Rose Bowl teams will be joined by Andover (North Hants winners) and either Flamingo, Sparsholt or St Cross from the Winchester League in the HCB competition.

Phil Ashton took a hat-trick with the last three balls of the match as St Cross swept to a thumping 107-run victory over Sarisbury.

The promising Winches-ter College leg-spinning all-rounder finished with figures of 4-9 off just 11 balls, having earlier hit an unbeaten 28 in St Cross's 173-2.

Tim Towler (32) and James Burridge (27) also made their mark before Sarisbury were dismissed for 66.

Nazeem Alam struck 20 runs off the final over to give Andover a thrilling three-wicket win over BAT, whose 140-2 had looked a certain winner. Paul Hurst (29) took his winter season's tally to 296 runs for BAT, while Lee Worrow hit 30 not out and Adam White an unbeaten 27.

Hursley Park slipped to a disappointing 19-run defeat despite pegging Locks Heath to 126-1 (Gareth Ransley 25, Scott Mills 25).

Richard Conroy (27) and Brian Coughtrie (27) both retired for Hursley Park (107-1) but occupied the crease far too long to give their teammates any chance.
