Angela Fu had a record-breaking day at the Hants Championships at Waterlooville.

The 13-year-old City of Southampton starlet set a new Championship best 100m individual medley time (1.11.71), beating the record set last year by teammate Emma Wicks.

In the 800m freestyle, Charlotte Slater (12) achieved first place (10.00.81) in her age group, but also collected her second national qualifying time.

The boys 1500m freestyle saw Jamie Cole (20.01.64), Samuel Sharpe (19.39.06) and Nicholas Edwards (18.52.97) getting qualifying times for Southern County Championships at Crystal Palace in June.

The 9-12 years girls freestyle team of Char-lotte Slater, Hayley Couch-man, Joanne Oliver and Kate Pothecary qualified for the final in 2.10.87 and finished a fine fourth in the final.

The boys 9-12 years freestyle team, Samuel Sharpe, Jamie Cole, Nicholas Jeneway and Spencer Haysom, qualified in 2.12.73 and also finished fourth in the final.

The 9-12 years girls medley team, Charlotte Slater, Hayley Couchman, Kate Pothecary and Emily Webber, were second in their final.

Samuel Sharpe, Sam Colmer, Nicholas Jeneway and Jamie Cole were seventh in the boys medley final (2.36.68).

University students John Audis, Chris Jones, Tom Ward and Russell Champion made up the team for the men's medley and freestyle relays, finishing second (4.05.60) and fourth (3.05.47) respectively.

The evening session saw the 13-14 year teams competing with Angela Fu, Emma Macey, Hannah Glasspool and Joelie Haysom winning the A medley (2.11.21) and coming second in the freestyle event (1.59.93).

The B team of Amy Wheeler, Kirsty Leding-ham, Jeanette Taylor and Louise Colmer were seventh in the Medley relay.

The boys team of Luke Horswell, Luke Clewlow, Zach Stephens and Callum Perry were sixth in the final of the junior medley event (2.04.02) and eighth in the freestyle event.

The 13-14 year boys team of Luke Horswell, Luke Perry, Nicholas Edwards and Simon Witt swam in both medley and freestyle finals.
