NO WIGS, no backing tapes and musicians who play their own instruments. If you didn't know better, you might easily mistake T-Rextasy for a proper band.

Widely hailed as one of the most authentic tribute acts on the planet, T-Rextasy have been doing their bit to keep the memory of flamboyant glam rocker Marc Bolan alive since 1992.

Fronted by singer and lead guitarist Danielz, who, unusually for a tribute band, benefits from actually looking like the subject of his homage, made their debut in a small club in Hackney, east London.

Since then, they have won the approval of T Rex fans all over the world, blasting out original Seventies hits such as Metal Guru, Jeepster, Telegram Sam, Hot Love, Children of the Revolution and Ride a White Swan.

Not only have T-Rextasy gone down a storm with the fans, they have also been clasped to the bosom of Bolan's contemporaries, touring with the likes of Roy Wood, Slade, Status Quo and The Sweet.

Their international appearances include slots alongside the likes of Blur, Dodgy and Iron Maiden.

A typical T-Rextasy performance includes an electric set followed by an acoustic and congas performances, and ending with a second set of electric rockers. AW
