Staff at Winchester's Trinity Centre are looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen.
The centre, at St Paul's Hill, provides advice and support services covering a wide range of problems, including housing and homelessness, drugs and alcohol, safe sex and health care.
It tries to provide two hot meals a day. However, due to a shortage of volunteers, the popular cooked breakfast, at £1, is no longer on the menu, although clients can still have cereals.
Said centre worker, Madeleine Knibbs: "We would be extremely happy for the service to return. It would be fantastic if we could find people who could spare us a little time.
"We need help with the preparation of the food and clearing up afterwards."
Busiest times for meals at the centre are between 10am and 1.30pm. It is open until 1.45pm.
For further information call the Trinity Centre on 01962-622220.
