New addition to Winchester City Council's tourism team is events officer, Elaine Robbins.
She will co-ordinate and promote the annual programme.
One of her key tasks will be to draw together and publish the quarterly What's On in Winchester leaflet.
She will be part of a small team working with Hampshire County Council to create a high-tech events database for the new Winchester Tourism website.
Elaine joins the council after taking a career break to raise three children.
Before starting her family, she worked in several marketing roles and, as secretary of the Fair Oak and Horton Heath Community Association, had experience of organising events.
Elaine is seeking to co-ordinate a new "hidden gardens" event for the weekend of June 7th and 8th will offer the chance to visit a range of private and public gardens with all proceeds going to worthwhile causes.
