Season ticket-holders using the long-stay Tower Street and Chesil Street car parks in Winchester will get a new smart card to use at the entrance and exit barriers when the new pay-on-foot system starts in March.
Until their current ticket runs out, holders will also be able to use their paper windscreen ticket for other eligible car parks.
The new smart cards will be sent out by Winchester City Council's parking office during March, together with information detailing the new arrangements.
The city's other two pay-on-foot car parks, The Brooks and Middle Brook Street, are unaffected as they are not covered by season tickets.
