A woman was targeted by pickpockets in the Bhs store in the Brooks Shopping Centre, Winchester.
She was shopping in the store on Saturday around noon when she was approached by an Asian woman who engaged her in conversation about dress sizes.
When she had gone, the victim realised someone had opened her bag and removed her pension book together with £120.
The suspect is aged between 18 and 24, between 5ft and 5ft 1, of slim build with black hair. Police believe the incident may be linked to a spate of similar thefts in the Sainsbury's store in Middle Brook Street two weeks ago.
