A drive to reduce alcohol-related crime in central Winchester appears to be working, according to the police.
Officers are working with licensing authorities to crack down on irresponsible alcohol sales.
Inspector Chris May, of Winchester police, said: "Many of the offences are taking place in Jewry Street so we are adopting high-visibility policing in that area."
The programme is being co-ordinated by patrol sergeants, Karen Fisher and John Myall.
