Romsey'S young Sea Cadets put on an impressive display for their annual Royal Navy inspection.
The unit's 31 cadets, aged between ten and 18, turned out in full uniform for the inspection by area Royal Navy officer Lieutenant Commander Black.
The annual event, which started with a traditional naval colours ceremony, was watched by Romsey mayor Mike Richardson and Test Valley mayor Tony Gentle.
The cadets' parents and other family members also packed the Sea Cadet headquarters at Romsey sports field.
Lt-Cdr Black inspected the guard before checking over the rest of the cadets.
The cadets had to put on three demonstrations for the officer - making cakes to prove they could be good cook stewards, rolling a canoe, and showing off their Duke of Edinburgh Award skills.
Lt-Cdr Black must now decide whether the cadets should pass their inspection and receive a pennant. His decision will be revealed later in the year.
