Kevin Davies's strike just a minute from time earned Saints an FA Cup fourth round replay with Millwall at St Mary's this afternoon.

The Saints striker, who this week revealed that he was likely to leave the club in the summer, side-footed home at the death to buy Saints a replay at The Den on Tuesday, February 4.

One-time Pompey player and manager Steve Claridge had given Millwall a 17th-minute lead when Steven Reid's right wing free-kick was headed down by Paul Robinson and Claridge stabbed home.

The Portsmouth-born hitman had seen an earlier effort cleared off the line by Francis Benali in an entertaining cup tie.

Saints had been unlucky themselves in the first half when Michael Svensson had struck the post before three further efforts where cleared off the line.

Antti Niemi was called upon to make three vital saves in the second period before Jo Tessem missed a golden opportunity to level for Saints.

In the end Davies, who had spent time on loan at Millwall earlier this season, netted to give Saints a chance of progressing to the fifth round.
