SIMON Broadribb has everything to smile about after being voted Most Cheerful Butcher in the south.
The 35-year-old scooped the top accolade after happy customers at Uptons in Bassett, voted for him in a national 'Chopstars' contest.
One of the entries that helped win him the award was from regular customer Eva Robinson, who told judges: "Being served by Simon makes me feel that the sun is shining even when it's raining."
More than 10,500 butchers were invited to take part in the competition.
Delighted Simon said: "Sometimes you go into a shop and people are not very happy. But people look for a quality service and if you're cheerful it can be infectious.
"A happy customer is a regular customer. We like to make sure they always leave the shop smiling."
