No new Saints fans will be allowed into St Mary's to watch the FA Cup fourth round tie against Millwall next Saturday.

Saints are selling tickets only to members, season ticket holders and those who have bought tickets in the past in a bid to ensure the day is not marred by crowd trouble.

"It is a low-key and sensible precaution to ensure that away fans do not end up in sections reserved for home supporters," said a club statement.

"Millwall fans will, therefore, have to buy from their own club who run an effective Passport to Travel scheme.

"They sell only to known supporters in a bid to curb the crowd trouble which has sometimes afflicted them over the years.

"That policy has worked well this season and they have had only a handful of arrests."

Saints will back up those measures by selling only to known home supporters.

There will be additional stewards on duty around the away section of the ground.

That has been prompted not by the cup draw but by the actions of the Tottenham fans in the third round.

Once season ticket holders have had the chance to buy their usual seat, remaining tickets go on general sale on Wednesday, January 22 - but ONLY to Saints fans who have already previously bought tickets.

There will be NO tickets sold on the day of the game.
