Over 40 'Mini' boats are expected in Locmiquelic (Bay of Lorient, South Brittany) for the 5th year of the Demi-cle Open 6.50 next July.
After the success of the Open 6.50 in Ireland last year, the mid-July race will revert to its traditional dimension, with a technical race between Brittany and Vendee.
The regatta will allow, even more this year, a navigation in fleet, allowing the skippers to test their stamina under intense conditions.
Those accustomed to the circuit know that this route, more so than any other will be won by working together from beginning to end and by watching the other boats.
The quality of management of the fleet and the skippers will be very important and the strong currents and the routes between islands will oblige the skippers to exploit their navigation skills.
The duration of the race offers the possibility of completing the solo or the navigation as a family, and for those with less experience it is a classic coastal route - with a few surprises!
