Old Tauntonian's big day trip to Hampshire Premier leaders Winchester City in the SFA Senior Cup was all over bar the shouting before half time as the SFA Senior Cup favourites stormed into a 5-0 lead.

Although Alex Hoyle pulled one back in the second half, the match finished 6-1 to City who now host Cadnam in round two. Paul Nelson hit a hat-trick with Adam Rogers, Kev Brewster and Matt Woods also on target.

In contrast, defences were on top in the Premier Division with the five games producing just 11 goals.

Botley Village's Rob Deacon scored twice as they won 2-0 at Sporting BTC, Nursling defeated Brendon with an early second-half strike from Lee Humby, and a Tom Thorn goal just before half-time secured a 1-0 win for BTC at North Baddesley.

Fair Oak and Durley drew 2-2 in a game in which both teams led. John White put Fair Oak in front but Martin Chamberlain and Chris Skilton turned the game in Durley's favour before Paul Myburg ensured the teams split the points.

Eastleigh Comrades were left ruing missed first-half chances as they lost in the league for the first time this season.

All looked well as Andy Elliott pushed them in front as early as the fifth minute but Mottisfont scored twice in the last 11 minutes, through Ian Taylor and Alan Bundy, to seal a 2-1 win and push themselves into the frame.
