School staff and parents are still waiting for education bosses to sort out the backlog of unchecked personnel at the Criminal Records Bureau.
The delay in security checks on 481 newly-appointed school staff has been attacked by Hampshire's executive member for education.
Don Allen said: "The CAB has repeatedly failed to return a priority list of new employees needing checks by our deadline of midday Wednesday."
However, it is hoped it will be business as usual when of children return to school on Monday
