PORTSMOUTH are one of six clubs whose fans have been banned by Millwall next season.

Five other Division 1 teams' fans will also not be allowed at the New Den after measures were announced to try and prevent a repeat of the shocking scenes of violence which marred the London club's play-off defeat by Birmingham.

Around 900 fans of the London club went on the rampage outside the New Den after Birmingham's second leg success on May 2.

At a press conference held in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police yesterday, it was confirmed that supporters of Wolves, Burnley, Nottingham Forest, Stoke, Pompey and Leicester will not be allowed at the ground next season.
