Ben Ainslie, Iain Percy and Shirley Robertson are committed to their roles as ambassadors of the Volvo RYA Youth sailing Programmes, designed to find future sailing stars at an early age and support them through the junior and youth stages of their competitive sailing careers.
Ben will be skippering the Swan 70 "Volvo for Life" in this year's Skandia Life Cowes Week. Up and coming young sailors from the youth programmes will be invited to compete alongside Ben, gaining valuable keelboat experience as well as the opportunity to sail with a gold medallist.
Iain will be at the Volvo Musto Optimist Championships later this year - on hand to offer advice and give another of his popular masterclasses to the competitors.
All three Olympic sailors recognise the importance of the support given to them by the junior and youth programmes during their careers and are keen to see this continue to the next generation of champions.
