SCAMMING car thieves stole a blue four-litre BMW sports car worth £28,000 after taking it out for a test drive.
The owner of the one-year-old BMW 540 from High Street, Burlesdon, was selling the car and arranged with a man who responded to an advert and claimed to be a car dealer to take it for a spin.
The thief left his car keys with the BMW's owner and drove off on his own - but a second thief who also had keys came back for the car.
