THE finish of the third race of the Royal Southampton Yacht Club's Spring Series on Sunday saw three boats X-Parrot, Big Boys Toys and Shakatak all with perfect scores of three wins each.

In an easterly breeze of around 18 knots with gusts up to 32 knots, the multihull class were first away.

Corsair F28R Shakatak pulled away to win by nine minutes on corrected time partly because her rivals were forced behind an incoming ship.

In Class 1, racing under IRC, Mike Garvey's X-332 X-Parrot went on to win by nearly three minutes on corrected time from Stuart Danby's Dehler 33 Rocket with Ben James' H-Boat Badger in third.

Class 3, racing under club handicap, was dominated by Hunter 707 Big Boys Toys (Andrew Percival), who took line honours and corrected time victory by over three minutes from Sadler 29 Zumbido (Michael Hibberd) with third Sigma 33 Iskareen (Michael Perrin).
