ANDOVER is hosting its second Hampshire Farmers' Market in the High Street on Sunday 21 April between 10am and 2pm.

The first market held in March attracted around over 4,000 people to sample the produce of over 50 farmers and growers.

There will be plenty of very local produce, including free-range pork from Anna Valley (including the popular Hog Roast), farm fresh free range eggs, as well as cakes, jams, fresh fish from the Solent and plenty of Hampshire honey.

There will also be plenty of fresh vegetables and hopefully the first of this seasons' asparagus.

Gardeners will be in for a treat with Rob Hardy from Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants at Whitchurch on hand to answer any questions.

Rob is a regular stallholder and director of Hampshire Farmers' Markets and the nursery has just featured in Alan Titmarsh's BBC2 series 'How to be a Gardener'.

In addition there will be other nurseries selling climbing plants, ornamental grasses and summer flowering perennials, all ideal for planting out now.
