CUSTOMERS at a city-based charity shop could be forgiven for thinking Easter has come early.
For every £5 spent at The Clic (Challenging, Cancer and Leukaemia) shop in Shirley High Street, shoppers are receiving a Cadbury's chocolate variety tube and a child's colouring book.
The offer is due to run for a month. However, the initial success of the special offer could see stocks run out.
Clic shop staff came up with the idea to boost their fundraising and as a way of saying thanks to their loyal customers whose purchases have helped pay for the treatment of hundreds of sick youngsters. Clic also acts as a support network for families whose loved ones have been diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia.
Debbie Fuccio, manager of the Clic shop, said: "We have definitely seen an increase in trade since Monday. Chocolate is a very tempting food and the colouring books are also proving very popular among visiting children.
"Every purchase in our shop makes another sick child's life that bit better."
