Faithless, Southampton Guildhall

WHEN it comes to the great dance/popular music crossover then Faithless certainly have it licked.

Last night's show was the last of Faithless' tour and boy did they enjoy themselves.

Playing to a super-enthusiastic sell-out crowd, Faithless' live band brought the house down proving that dance music isn't just a cliched DJ in a baseball cap ala' Dangerous' Dave Pearce.

Of course, Dido wasn't in attendance but Zoe Johnston certainly impressed us with her vocals on tracks from the band's latest album Outrospective.

Faithless pride themselves on the fact that they tour with a complete band, and tracks such as Muhammed Ali, Bring My Family Back, the massive single We Come 1 and the anthemic Insomnia certainly benefited from the live sound.

Finishing with God Is A DJ, Faithless received a heroes reception at Southampton Guildhall, proving to themselves and a few thousand others that they are one of Great Britain's premier live dance acts.
