TWO free-skaters, who train at Basingstoke ice rink, have recently auditioned for the professional ice show, Holiday on Ice.
Rachel Searle and Sarah Dale decided to try their luck after talking to former company star, Alan Abretti, an ice dance coach at Basingstoke.
He accompanied the two girls for their hour-long auditions at Wembley.
Dale, who is 17 and comes from Gosport, has been chosen to join Holiday on Ice when a place becomes available.
Searle, an 18-year-old from Newbury who is coached by Abretti, has been put on the reserve list, which means she will have to re-audition.
Abretti said: "Originally, Sarah was just going along to keep Rachel company."
A new show starts in September, so the girls could soon find an opening.
