SOUNDS of the Caribbean will be coming to Hampshire on Saturday when Portchester Community Band performs its next concert.
They will be playing at Portchester Community School in White Hart Lane at 7pm.
The band has grown from strength to strength since music teacher Peter Beadell set it up six years ago.
Last year the school was judged the best band at the Notting Hill Carnival.
Now Mr Beadell hopes to spread the success of the band with the Pan Project, a scheme to show adults and children the delights of playing in a steel band.
