Hampshire's men finished third overall in the inter-counties under-17 match at Crawley.
Their two victories came in the distance events with Winchester's Gavin Smith winning the A-string 1500 metres steeplechase in a personal best of 4 mins 37.4 secs and Graham Russ leading the B 3000m in 9.19.2.
Isle of Wight lad Paul Farley was his usual reliable self with second in the A hammer (57.94) and B shot (12.34) and fourth in the A discus (41.09).
Dale Brenton hurled the javelin out to a personal best 48.81 for runners-up spot in the A string and Kyle Williams, a late call-up, marked his first ever competition with second in the B high jump and fifth in the B 100m hurdles.
Clive Radford delayed his holiday to compete and was rewarded with a personal best 59.4 in the 400m hurdles.
