The medals are coming thick and fast for Southampton youngster Jake Macey, a possible tennis star of the future.
Fast-improving Macey, aged ten, showed impressive form as he cruised to the final of the under-12 Southampton Open without losing a set, where he faced team-mate James Chaudrey.
Macey, of Atherley Tennis Club, held his nerve in the third set tie-break to take away the title and the trophy.
The youngster then proved that he is up there with the best talent in local tennis by also winning the under-14 B competition, where he triumphed against Craig Veal in straight sets in the final.
It looks like more success could be on the way too for this talented youngster, as he now heads to Eastbourne to compete on grass for the first time, before returning to defend his under-14 West Wellow Table Tennis crown.
