LOCKS HEATH Swim Squad finished the season in style at the Portsmouth Northsea End of Season Open Meet, with eight swimmers representing them in finals.

Max Brinkers, 11, led the charge, plundering gold over 100m in four events, the 11 to 12 years' butterfly, backstroke, freestyle and medley. Brinkers also took home a silver in the 50m freestyle.

Two Locks Heath swimmers finished on the podium in the 11 to 12 years' 100m backstroke, with Kim Cessford collecting gold with a personal best time, and Hollie Pascoe coming away with bronze. Pascoe also took bronze in the 50m freestyle.

In six finals, Oliver-James Wright, 10, won a gold in the 100m breaststroke, as well as bronzes in the 100m freestyle and 100m medley events.

Other medal-winners included Simon Collis collecting bronze in the 11 to 12 years' 100m freestyle, and Sophie Vass's silver in the 10 years' 100m breaststroke. Frankie Murphy and Andrew Wilson also reached finals but were unlucky not to finish in the medals.
