HAMPSHIRE-based Halmatic has just delivered its third vessel for use in Belfast Lough.
The Portsmouth company first supplied a vessel to Belfast in 1992, with the second beginning operations in 1996.
Now the company has supplied its latest generation Nelson 44 for use in the region.
Halmatic says its latest Nelson 44 is built on the same well- proven hull form as before, but in line with its policy of continuous development, the boat has significantly changed from the previous builds.
The most obvious development is the isolated wheelhouse with forward-raked windscreens.
The new screen arrangement provides increased space for navigation equipment and electronics while maintaining a near-perfect helm position.
Further benefits include reduced glare (ideal for hot climate applications) and improved spray deflection off the screens when operating in heavy weather.
