Lymington almost came a cropper against BAT's second string in the Tim Farley Memorial Indoor Cricket Knockout Cup at Fleming Park.

They clung on to win by seven runs after Mike Caffyn (29), Glyn Treagus (26) and Neil Trestrail (25) had guided the New Forest club to a seemingly formidable 139-3.

But Simon Ennew (39) and Steve Rudkin (29) ran the Lymington fielders off their feet in a quick-fire opening partnership.

Will Follett (3-33) ripped through the BAT middle-order, but Ennew returned to cause further problems before the Tobaccomen conceded defeat at 132 all out.

Trojans experienced few problems brushing aside Division 3 new boys Lyndhurst, with Mario Mohamed (pictured, 29), Chris Mitchell (28) and Simon Williams (27) piling up 138-2.

With Richard Bull and Chris Mitchell conceding only 11 runs respectively off their three overs, Lyndhurst were pegged to 85-4 (Jewell 24).

Division 2 title favourites Hambledon were unable to hold Winchester KS, who carry Hampshire's colours in the ECB indoor championships at Sandown on February 25.

WKS built their 121-3 around second-wicket pair Jimmy Taylor (28) and Dave Greetham (25), and then bowled the Dons out for 92.

Miles Bulpitt, who captains Leckford in the Southern Premier League, produced a dazzling all-round performance for Highfield.

He top scored with 32 not out and then grabbed 3-17 as Highfield cruised to a 60-run win over Purbrook.
