DEPUTY Prime Minister John Prescott has called in a plan to expand Hedge End's out-of-town shopping facilities plus provide a health and fitness centre.
Town Quay Developments Ltd applied to Eastleigh Borough Council for outline permission to build three non-food retail units plus the fitness centre at Hedge End Retail Park, off Charles Watts Way.
Now, a public inquiry will be held into the application at Eastleigh's civic offices at a date to be notified.
