DORSET'S first point to point of the season takes place this Sunday when the South Dorset Hunt hosts its meeting at Millborne St Andrew. There is a good entry of 152 for the seven race card.

The Restricted race begins proceedings at noon. Corey Gardener's Fate A Compli won at the Army, while Richard Barber has entered Rushing Again, Rimpton Boy and It's Beyond Belief, a winner at Larkhill last Saturday.

Two others to consider are Mike Cornish's 6yo Sacrifice, a winner over 2 miles at Upton-on-Severn last May, and the Dick Baimbridge-trained More People, who may be the one if travelling down from the Berkeley country.

In the Hunt race, many punters will side with local rider Nick Mitchell, successful in this race on eight previous occasions.

Mitchell is likely to ride Starpath, whom he trains nearby at Milton Abbas for John Boulter. Spring Marathon, a close second in the Army Ladies' may provide the strongest opposition.

There is a strong entry of 28 for the Ladies race.

Former good handicapper Easthorpe is an interesting entry, while Mizyan and Tales of Bounty must enter calculations.
