Hedge End's blossoming youth town council is set to ask other local youngsters for some cash aid.
Young town council members are to approach a youth grants panel run by Eastleigh council's Hedge End, West End and Botley local area committee for a hand out.
Last year £2,000 was allocated in small grants to local youth projects. The decisions on applications were the responsibility of a panel of young people from the area.
Now, the Youth Town Council is hoping grant aid will help publicise their set up which is providing a platform for Hedge End youngsters to have their say on events and facilities they would like to see provided.
The cash would also help the youth council finance events they already have planned - including a 2000 centre party, which has been planned for February 10 and 11.
