Southampton's men have made it through to the last 16 of the National Vase after winning their third round tie at Northampton 3-2.
Southampton's scorers were Gary Watts (short corner rebound), skipper Ben Fitch and Steve Perkins.
In the league, Southampton crashed 2-1 to Salisbury after conceding two goals in the first 20 minutes.
The seconds beat Salisbury 3-1 with goals from Rob Sparrow, who deflected an Eric Holt right wing cross. Sparrow scored a fine individual effort, rounding two defenders before slipping the keeper. Pete Graham then fired home from a short corner.
James Wise and Mark Day were on target for the thirds in a 2-1 win over Basingstoke.
The Otters, playing with four under 14s enjoyed a 4-0 victory over Old Edwardians III.
Rob Gibbs opened the scoring, Henry Swzinto added two and Alex Tong finished off.
The fourths kept up their challenge for promotion with a 1 - 1 draw with Southampton University.
The Masters were five seconds away from a historic victory, away to Richmond, who boast several former national players. Ronnie Mascarenhas put Southampton ahead and the result looked in the bag but a short corner, awarded in the dying seconds, was upgraded to a penalty stroke for an equaliser.
Bill Gowman opened the scoring as the Vets drew 2-2 with Bournemouth. Pete Terry was also on target.
On Sunday the under 19 girls' first team beat Basingstoke 6-0 with goals Alex Williams (2) Helen Carter, Sarah Batchelor and Hollie Nutt (2).
