DUE to Barton Stacey's pitch still being waterlogged, their ADSL North Hants C J Price Cup tie against Southampton Arms was played at the Walworth Sports ground.

The weather spoilt what could have been a lively tie and the Arms were 2-0 up at half time, with Ian Juliff bringing his tally to 12 and Neil Catchpole to 15 for the season.

Early in the second half, Ali Fleming's clinical scoring sealed the tie with Barton Stacey pumping the ball forward looking for scraps but were denied by another solid performance from Nigel Bird, Mark Beckingham, Steve Clothier and Ian Bevan.

Barton Stacey scored a consolation goal late on in the second half with a quick free kick which was flicked on, beating the keeper on his near post.

The Arms now look forward to another away tie against the Bakers Arms in Winchester for a place in the quarter finals. Wallop Wanderers beat Milton Lilbourne 4-1 in their Jimmy Monro Cup tie, with Roy Cavil putting Wallop 1-0 up after nine minutes.

After some good play by Cullen, Day scored when Ling put a ball through the defence for him to run onto and Matt Black made it 3-0 after making a good run to score with a nice shot.

The second half saw Wallop take their foot off the pedal to let Milton Lilbourne back in the game but finished it off with their fourth. Ling and Cullan had outstanding games in midfield for Wallop and the back four of Donald, Barnard, Smith and Lister never put a foot wrong.

In Division Three, Dave Millward's and Chris Green's Andover Leisure Centre side maintained their good form with their second victory over Tidworth side Ram Inn in three weeks. In a competitive game in tricky conditions, both sides had their fair share of possession with ALC coming the closest to scoring in a goalless first half. ALC broke through in the second half with Darren Annetts scoring on his debut and Christian Nicel added a second shortly after.

The back four of Gavin Davis, Matt Jordan, John Hardistaff and Glynn Owen gave an outstanding performance for ALC, giving Ram very few chances. Ram eventually forced a goal back to keep the game alive but Gavin Davis settled it five minutes from the end with ALC's third.

In ADL division one, ABC Res continued their rich vein of form with a 9-0 win over an under-strength Tee Jays. ABC were looking to close the gap at the top and took the lead half way through the first half with Paul Wainwright curling in a free kick.

Iain Clarke then smashed home a second and Roger Thompson lobbed the keeper to make it 3-0 at half time.

In the second half, ABC with most of the play were finding it hard to add to their first half tally until after 65 minutes when ABC introduced Vern Peacock and new signing Ian Waterfall to the game. Both made an immediate impact with Waterfall having a hand in five of the six second half goals.

Vern Peacock grabbed two, Ryan Walker scored two, Clarke grabbed a second and Stuart Heindmarsh completed the rout with four goals scored inside five minutes.
