FIVE Great Danes have discovered what must be one of the most dog-friendly pub in Hampshire.
Proprietors of The Cricketers in Tangley, Ed Simpson and Verity Ashley - dog owners themselves - make room for the gentle giants as they accompany George and Jenny Barton for drinks and meals. The doggie group consists of four Blue Great Danes and one Harle-quin and started with the acquisition of Chloe as a Christmas present for Jenny.
Chloe presented them with Jack, now three, and then Ella, just over two. Jazzy, the Harlequin, was acquired and could present the couple with her first litter in the summer. Buffy, from Ella's first litter, was born six months ago.
They are award-winning dogs, competing under the kennel name of Blaufell Great Danes, with Jack, Ella and Jazzy qualifying for this year's Crufts. And they are not camera shy. Jack appeared, with George and Jenny, on BBC's The Generation Game with Jim Davidson about two years ago.
