VANDALS caused havoc at sports fields and pavilions in Hedge End over the Christmas holiday, town councillors have been told.
Worst hit was the Taplin pavilion where all down pipes were destroyed, all emergency lighting broken and a window was smashed.
At Greta Park an unsuccessful attempt was made to kick in a door and at Turnpike Way all door handles were forced, bending some and destroying others. At Locke Road a gate was damaged.
