NON-LEAGUE strike legend Dave Leworthy is ready to be cut loose on his old club Farnborough Town in tonight's intriguing Hampshire Senior Cup quarter-final at Westleigh Park.

Leworthy struck twice for Havant & Waterlooville in Saturday's 2-2 Dr Martens Premier Division draw at Tamworth, taking his goal tally to six in the last seven games.

At 38, the former Tottenham, Oxford United and Reading striker is no spring chicken, but H&W co-manager Mick Jenkins said: "He still has a lot of quality and is well-respected by everyone. We took him off with ten minutes left at Tamworth because he had run himself into the ground, but I'm sure he'll be raring to go tonight."
