A DRIVER, whose car wrecked the front of a long-established bakery, is sought by police at Lymington.
Thousands of pounds' worth of damage was inflicted on Jennings bakers' shop, either very late on Friday night or in the early hours of Saturday morning. But the driver had fled and police are now appealing for information.
Witnesses can contact WPc Rachel Stokes at Lymington Police Station on 0845 045 45 45.
She said marks on the badly-damaged wall, and car debris at the scene, indicated it was possibly a dark grey Ford Mondeo or Escort. Anyone who noticed such a car, with damage to its front nearside headlamps, indicator and wing over the weekend, is also asked to contact the police.
