THE MYSTERY owner of a lottery ticket worth £1.5 million in Hampshire has still failed to come forward despite widespread publicity about the unclaimed prize over the weekend.

As the Daily Echo reported on Saturday, the hunt has begun for the new millionaire somewhere in the county.

They bought the ticket for the mid-week draw on December 6 with the winning numbers 6, 10, 13, 19, 27 and 47.

Lottery organiser Camelot says nobody has yet come forward to claim the cash, but it has plenty of ideas about how the fortune can be spent if they do.

The winner could follow in the footsteps of other new millionaires who splash out on some unusual treats with their windfall.

Camelot has revealed the Top Ten most unusual purchases that winners have spent their money on.

While many would opt for a holiday in the sun and a racy little motor parked on the driveway of their executive home, some winners have opted for far more exotic treats.

Top of the list is the woman who paid to have her breasts made larger - and other strange buys include a racing pigeon for £70,000, a castle and a grave stone.

Information on who is most likely to win, shows that if you are a manager from Essex and your star sign is Cancer your chances are higher.

While 98 per cent of winners are as happy or happier following their cash windfall - any new millionaires should keep an eye on the bathroom scales as 32 per cent of winners have found their bank balance is not the only thing to expand.

It is not the first time that £1 million has gone begging in the county. In the Big Draw 2000, a player in the county blew the jackpot by not claiming the £1 million prize by the June deadline.
