PLANS to give a Hampshire village centre a much-needed makeover are to be considered by council chiefs.
Outline proposals to improve West End's centre have been put together in a bid to help local businesses and tackle traders' concerns over vandalism.
Members of Eastleigh Borough Council's local area committee are due to consider plans made so far at a meeting tonight.
They include the introduction of railings outside the local Netto store, improved lighting and the installation of CCTV cameras.
Local youngsters have also agreed to help the clean up in Chapel Road on condition the council provides the equipment, a litter bin and a bench.
