AN APPEAL to fund a renal treatment centre has raised more than a million pounds and is well on the way to its target of £1.5 million.
The Rocky Appeal was set up to raise money for a new kidney dialysis treatment centre at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, Portsmouth, which would serve patients from across the region.
Building work on the new centre is well under way and it is hoped that a renal unit from St Mary's Hospital in the city will soon be able to relocate there.
But fundraisers are still appealing for help in raising money for the centre, and for further good causes within the area.
