POLICE are investigating a possible attempted abduction involving a 12-year-old Hampshire boy on his way to school.
Detectives were due to continue the delicate process of interviewing the boy today, after he claimed a man came up behind him and tried to take him away.
The boy was walking along Bishopsfield Road, Fareham, to Neville Lovett Community School, at 8.30am yesterday, when the alleged incident happened.
Police said the interview was a slow one because of the age of the boy.
Other potential witnesses are also being interviewed.
Police said the attack would have occurred in front of many witnesses because it was a busy time of day with people going to school and work.
