HASSAN KACHLOUL has been fined a week's wages by Saints in the wake of his red card against Leeds.

He said: "This is the first time I've ever been sent off in my career and I certainly intend it to be the last.

"The match had been played in a hard but fair spirit up until that last ten minutes, and I certainly hope the bad feeling between the two clubs won't linger for long.

"I've been fined a week's wages, and sincerely hope that I don't pick up a lengthy ban from the FA."

* Saints have agreed to extend Stuart Ripley's loan at Barnsley by another month.

The winger has impressed during his initial spell at Oakwell and would be happy to sign full-time if the clubs can agree a fee.

His children still live up north and a move closer to his roots would suit him if personal terms can be met but he insists he would be equally happy to fight for his place at The Dell.

He said: "Barnsley wanted me to sign for two more months but I have agreed to go for one. It has gone really well for me up there but I want to keep my options open."
