FROM camp comedy to high drama, The Point Dance and Arts Centre offers a diverse range of entertainment for its new season.
The popular Eastleigh venue's programme for new year and beyond offers an exciting mixture of dance, theatre, art exhibition, film and workshops.
Among stars gracing the stage will be the seemingly ageless duo of Dr Evadne Hinge and her lifelong friend Dame Hilda Bracket, who will bring their unique comedy act to The Point for one performance on April 22.
The Point's programme also includes an acclaimed adaptation of William Sutcliffe's novel New Boy - a hormonally-charged tale set in a north London secondary school (April 4) and Noel Coward's Words and Music, a revival of a 1932 revue containing some of the witty songwriter's best-known ditties. Also on the bill is the Merry Wives, a new adaptation of Shakespeare's the Merry Wives of Windsor.
A triple bill of different dance styles in Phoenix Dance's A Taste of Phoenix is also offered (March 30) as well as a matinee triple bill for schools by Dansconnect and Hampshire Dance.
Musical highlights include virtuoso guitarist John Mills (presented by Southampton Classical Guitar Society (February 10).
