A Romsey teenager is planning the jump of her life--to help save others.
Natalie Hope, of Strong's Close, is going to plunge 10,000 from a plane in aid of the National Kidney Research Fund. She said: "I have never flown before, let alone done a parachute jump. I am not frightened. I will have an instructor with me."
Natalie, who is looking for people to sponsor her, is hoping to do her bit for charity on November 25th or December 10th--the date has still to be confirmed.
The 17-year-old Eastleigh College student will be travelling to Cirencester for the jump. "I will have about two hours' practice before I do it. It's something that I have always wanted to do," added Natalie, who needs to raise at least £330 to cover the cost of the jump.
Professional events organiser's Skyline is behind Natalie's fund-raising bid.
Natalie, who has a part-time job helping out at Romsey's Edwina Mount-batten House, hopes to train as a paramedic when she finishes her studies.
"It's a bit different and more exciting than sitting in an office all day," said Natalie.
Anyone who would like to sponsor Natalie is asked to contact her on 07909-677239.
