Travellers flying between Southampton and Jersey this winter will be able to book cut-price tickets on British Regional Airlines' services, which will start from £68 return.

Leisure travellers can save up to 34 per cent on the full economy fare, if they book in advance and tickets for travel are valid until March 31 2001 but must be booked before October 31 this year.

The saver fare offer requires a Saturday night stopover and seats are subject to availability.

The airline, British Airways' largest franchise carrier, operates over 56 flights a week between Southampton and Jersey using a 72-seater ATR72 aircraft.

Mike Bathgate, British Regional Airlines' commercial director, said: "As our saver fare proved extremely popular with leisure passengers over the summer season, we have decided to continue this offer over the winter period.

"There are great savings to be made from this special fare, which benefits those taking short breaks or visiting friends and relatives."
