WORKERS from Pearson the estate agency got a rousing send off from Southampton Mayor Derek Burke when they went on a zany charity trolley push at the weekend.
Staff from the London Road branch joined fundraisers from the Wessex Heartbeat appeal as they dressed up to the nines in fancy dress for the journey through the centre of Southampton to Ocean Village, raising £400.
The estate agency, which has branches throughout the south has chosen Wessex Heartbeat as its designated charity during its centenary year.
Director Roger Parsons said: "We chose Wessex Heartbeat because it is a locally-based charity. From every house sale we make this year we are donating a cut of our fee and we have pledged that by the end of the year we will have raised £20,000."
Wessex Heartbeat raises funds for the Wessex Cardiac Unit at Southampton General Hospital providing treatment for 20,000 heart patients every year.
