Fans of the green baize are bound to go potty as the Daily Echo strikes up a partnership with one of the biggest backers in the world of snooker.

And Steve Davis and John Virgo know they can be right on cue with Bournemouth-based insurance company Liverpool Victoria who have pledged their support to our Snooker Classic.

Six-times world champion Davis MBE - and BBC pundit and Big Break star Virgo - come to Eastleigh's Fleming Park on Thursday, May 11 for a night of top-quality entertainment and unforgettable hilarity.

Liverpool Victoria have been so impressed with the ever-increasing ticket sales that they have lent their weight to the event, extending their snooker sponsorship beyond the prestigious UK Championship, which returns to the BIC in November.

The two stars will face each other in a seven-frame exhibition match, while Davis will take on Daily Echo amateur champion Bob Cooper in a one-frame shootout before Virgo regales the crowd with his world famous routine of trick shots and impressions.

Tickets are selling fast for this rare opportunity to see two of snooker's biggest draws in action so fans are advised to book quickly to avoid disappointment.

To reserve your seat call the ticket hotline on 023 8068 4800 between 10am and 5pm Monday-Friday.
