Cherries were robbed of victory in their final game of the season after a dramatic late fightback by promotion hopefuls Wigan this afternoon at Dean Court
Mel Machin's men cruised into a 2-0 interval lead thanks to goals from Wade Elliott and Claus Jorgensen.
Wigan hit back through defender Pat McGibbon with five minutes remaining and then a minute from time Roberts popped up with the equaliser.
Meanwhile Wigan claimed a play-off place while Meanwhile Burnley joined Preston in Division One after a 2-1 awayday victory against Scunthorpe. Millwall grabbed teh other play-off place.
Gillingham had to be content with a place in the play-offs after losing to 1-0 at Wrexham.
